A Sunny Stroll in the Garden in Middle May.

A sunny stroll through the garden to see who's visiting and what's blooming...

Spider babies!

Oooo look the grapes have appeared!

Cassava tree buds.

Broad bean flowers.

Yes, peas!!!

A jungle of artichokes!

It's almost berry time! Blueberries and raspberries. Bees come and get 'em.

I love when the Hawthorne tree is in bloom - so pretty!

A patch of fall rye left for seed. I love tall grass.

A  bug's eye view.

Spring vs. Summer in the Garden

An early summer! 33 degrees Celsius this weekend! When did summer arrive?

Chives ready to bloom! The bees will fall in love!

Hello cauliflower - when did you arrive?!

Honeybees loving the garden goodies already going to seed.

Hello Mr. Grove Snail. Okay I don't mind you sunbathing on my garlic... but leave my salad greens alone!

The garden, so inviting! I'm in love!

First wave of peas making an appearance!

Broad beans too!

Full heads of lettuces... and would you believe lettuce trying to go to seed too!?

Hello my lovely cilantro! I've missed you!

Blueberry bushes in flower already?

Currants growing, ripening...

Lilacs! One of the few things going on in the garden right now that remind us that it is indeed still spring - as we seem to have time warped a month and a half into the summer!  It's going to be an interesting year in the garden!
